Professional dog spa specialised in Hydrotherapy for Dogs, Dog Grooming, Boarding Kennels and Dog Training across Caerphilly and further afield.

Since we opened our doors in 2003, The Dog Spa has gone from strength to strength, serving dogs and owners throughout most of South Wales (including Caerphilly, Cardiff, Cwmbran, Newport and further afield).  Thanks to the high standard of care and service we provide, many of our new clients come to us through recommendation.

Our hydrotherapy facility includes a state-of-the-art aquatic treadmill and fully heated hydrotherapy pool.  Treatment can be coordinated with Denise Hayes Davies – a ACPAT qualified physiotherapist and ensuring dogs receive the optimal benefit.  Hydrotherapy can be used to treat a wide array of injuries and ailments.

All hydrotherapy staff are fully trained and qualified.  Standards of training and water management have to be maintained to meet the criteria of the CHA. 

Our Boarding Kennels

Our spacious, heated boarding kennels provide a safe, hygienic home-from-home environment.  Dogs in our care have ample opportunity to play, relax and socialise.  The facility is fully heated and includes a large grass paddock, allowing dogs to run freely within a secure environment.

Each dog is exercised twice a day and has supervised play in our enclosed paddock area.

Professional Grooming Salon in Caerphilly

We offer a full grooming service and all dogs are cut to breed standard or to suit your personal requirements.

Initially for our records we will need details of your dogs health and wellbeing.

He/she will be placed in a cage for safety in the salon with a bed and water to help him/her settle.

Before grooming commences your dog will be given a full health check Ears cleaned , eyes and skin and anal glands are checked.

Then a lovely warm bath using a professional shampoo.

Blow dry and clipped or scissored in the style that you require.

We also offer a HAND-STRIPPING service.

Dogs are offered toilet breaks and fresh water.

If you are working you can leave you dog here (by arrangement) we can groom to your requirements and we'll look after him/her until you can collect
